Calendar
For those of us who prefer to have a hard copy of our schedule available, rather than having to refer to a computerized version, there are many options when it comes to keeping a yearly or monthly calendar. I can’t emphasize enough, the satisfaction you can get from keeping all of your appointments, to do lists and contact information all in one place. To that end, there are a few very “family-friendly” versions of the yearly calendar available for you to consider using.
BusyBodyBook
BusyBodyBook produces several paper products; a day planner, a magnetic fridge calendar and a wall calendar. All of the products are designed in a grid format that allows you to enter the schedules of up to 5 family members. The BBB Day planners are available in Jan–Dec or school year ranges, they show one week at a glance and contain a page each week for to do lists, grocery lists or other notes to be written. The magnetic 7–column BBB Fridge Grid Pad, has even more space to plan side by side, it posts on the fridge and provides a clear view of the schedules of the entire family. Because it can be personalized, the extra columns can be used for meal planning or personal fitness scheduling. The Wall Calendar, contains key contacts pages for emergency numbers, babysitters or other information and has a 4 inch pocket on the inside of the back cover that can be used to store coupons, receipts or other important papers. A more detailed description of their products and sample pages can be found on their website. Its definitely worth a look.
momAgenda
Another great option is momAgenda. I first found out about these planners in Today’s Parent magazine, and they really are great. They are available only on–line and offer very pretty and functional features such as rows for each child’s activities and an area for keeping track of meal plans. Their Kitchen Folio is a customizable book that is a system for organizing all of the paperwork that comes with having kids (schedules, lunch menus, afterschool activities, etc). Very cool and very functional.
